Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Chelmsford, working on Civils Projects across the South East.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all costs related to building and civil engineering projects.
- Ensure projects are completed within the projected budget.
- Provide financial and commercial advice to the project team.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify, analyze, and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, tender processes, and cost control mechanisms.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential.
