As an Assistant Program Director, this role aids the Program Manager in the execution of Defence initiatives. Reporting to the Control Systems Account and acting as a pivotal member of the Project Delivery Team, you'll have the opportunity to engage in a prominent control systems development initiative.

In addition to developing and supporting UK-wide and internationally deployed multi-domain command and control systems, our efforts are vital to the modern framework of the Royal Navy. Responsibilities:

Manages and oversees the operational components of ongoing initiatives and serves as a liaison between project management and key stakeholders across the organization. Assist the Programme/Account Manager in nurturing project relationships, including partners, suppliers, and beneficiaries, in accordance with agreements, supplier code of conduct, and best practices in stakeholder and contract management. These relationships will be cultivated through effective collaboration across the stakeholder community to ensure delivery objectives are achieved. Support the Business Development team in pursuing and securing new opportunities leading to the award of the associated contract. Provide strong leadership to enhance team performance, competence, and talent, serving as a mentor and role model.

We are looking for:

A degree in a relevant engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 10 years of project management experience. Proven team leadership skills, with a strong ability to manage and develop personnel. Proficient in engaging effectively with individuals at all levels, utilizing well-honed influencing and interpersonal skills. Capable of interacting with internal and external clients in a professional manner, both in person and through various communication channels.

Security clearance:

You must be eligible to obtain and maintain the UK-Security Check (SC). Our requirements team is available to address any inquiries and will guide you through the process.
