Department Supervisor

£13.34 per hour

Take your retail career to the next level by working with your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences at Halfords. As a Department Supervisor, you'll have responsibility for the day-to-day running of a department, supervising and coaching others to achieve market-leading standards.

A key member of the sales floor leadership team, you'll support the store management team to ensure seamless service delivery to our customers. Your passion for delivering outstanding customer service will shine through, and you'll have an infectious enthusiasm for our products and services.

You'll also have some key holder responsibilities and will be committed to following all in-store security and stock loss procedures. We invest heavily in training to help our colleagues develop their careers, so whether you're looking to progress in retail or explore opportunities within the Group, we have the support to help you achieve your ambitions.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience of supervising or leading a small team
  • Experience of delivering great customer service in a retail sales or services environment
  • Experience of delivering on-the-job training and coaching to others
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines
  • A track record of achieving exceptional results against sales targets
  • Ideally, you'll have some technical knowledge and skills in motoring or cycling, but this is not essential – a commitment to your own development is key
