Financial Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team at Reed. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the reorganisation of investment funds to streamline month-end processes.
  • Manage fixed asset journals and reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Prepare VAT Return workings and conduct associated reconciliations.
  • Execute the monthly close process, including transaction analysis and journal preparations.
  • Proactively challenge and refine processes to meet audit standards and enhance financial efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Degree in accountancy, finance, or a related field, or a professional qualification in these areas.
  • Proficient in interpreting financial transactions and entries.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive stance on balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in financial records and reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, sumif/sumifs, and vlookups.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
