About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Support Worker to join our Chemotherapy Day Unit team. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care for patients attending the treatment suite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized and compassionate patient care
  • Work with colleagues to support patients during their appointments
  • Develop clinical skills, including venepuncture
  • Be visible and accessible, with quality and standards as a priority
  • Be flexible and resilient in a busy day unit environment
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year full-time equivalent experience as a Healthcare Support Worker/Trainee in a care setting
  • Previous experience in a care setting or day unit environment
  • Good understanding of oncology and haematology
  • Essential qualifications: Functional skills English and maths level 1 or GCSE English and maths grade G/1 or above, NVQ/Diploma level 2 in Healthcare (competencies assessed in a healthcare environment) or equivalent healthcare qualification
