Position: Management Accountant

Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire / Hybrid

Contract Type: Permanent Full Time, 37.5 Hours per week

Salary Range: £30,000 - £34,000

Reporting Line: Finance Controller

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of income statements, balance sheets, and various financial documents
  • Assessment of the company's financial performance based on financial records
  • Identification of problem areas and presentation of recommendations to management
  • Communication and interpretation of financial data to non-financial managers
  • Maintenance of Sterling bank accounts, excluding flight and forex transactions
  • Coding of main bank transactions and posting all cash books related to the bank
  • Processing till incomes and managing weekly cash deposits
  • Entering utility accruals and posting revenue
  • Weekly procurement uploads
  • Maintenance of domestic and non-domestic rates
  • Oversight of staff properties and collaboration with HR during payroll year-end
  • Management of the Accounts Receivable inbox
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Liaison with point-of-sale, accounting software, and system vendors
  • Ensuring integrity of accounts in Access Financials and creation of new authorized accounts
  • Running statistical reports and analysis as required
  • Assistance in month-end and year-end audits and financial reporting processes
  • Review of UK relevant codes for accuracy and necessary amendments
  • Analysis of UK sales against expenses and investigation of anomalies
  • Processing of House Capex requests
  • Adherence to SOPs to maintain controls and mitigate risks

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for candidates with the following essential skills:

  • Knowledge of financial tools
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and accounting software
  • Strong organizational skills

Desirable skills include:

  • Previous experience in discounted cash flows, business production processes, financial data processing, and bookkeeping
