In this specialized role, you will focus on providing expert assessments and interventions for children and young people with a wide range of physical disabilities, neurological disorders, and genetic conditions.
Your Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, specialized occupational therapy services to children and young people with complex needs in both home and school environments.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify occupational performance challenges related to self-care, education, and leisure activities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that are tailored to the unique needs of each child and their family.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, educators, and social workers, to ensure seamless and coordinated care.
- Provide expert advice and training to colleagues across various agencies, promoting best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
- Stay abreast of current research and advancements in the field to continuously enhance your clinical expertise.
About You
You are a registered Occupational Therapist with a proven track record of success in working with children with complex disabilities. You possess exceptional clinical reasoning skills, strong communication abilities, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of young people.
