About the Role

Avantor is seeking a highly skilled Workday Security and Configuration Analyst to join our HR Technology team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating, designing, and configuring security measures that protect our organizational data and ensure system continuity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of security measures that protect company data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Collaborate with IT and HR teams to enhance security protocols and ensure a seamless security experience across various platforms.
  • Act as a security consultant within the HR Technology team, influencing decisions and projects that impact system-wide security.
  • Support HR Operations transformation initiatives, predominantly involving ServiceNow operations (approx. 20% of role).
  • Continue standardization in Workday and create cohesive security across Avantor platforms, notably ServiceNow HRSD.
  • Prioritize ServiceNow Administration and Time-Tracking / Absence, specifically enabling configuration.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Workday security, including intersection and segment security.
  • Experience in configuring Workday Time Tracking and/or Absence Management.
  • Strong understanding of data security and least privileged access principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in creating calculated fields and condition rules.
  • Proficiency in advanced security configuration tools within Workday.
  • Familiarity with standard office software and project management tools.
  • Experience in ServiceNow HRSD.
  • Experience in Excel required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional experience in configuring other Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Benefits) is highly desirable.
  • Workday Pro Security certification is highly preferred.
  • Workday HCM Pro certification is highly preferred.
