JOB TITLE: Cleaning Operative

WORKING HOURS: 30 hours per week

PAY RATE: £12.00 per hour

ROLE OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE

ABM is seeking dedicated and diligent Cleaning Operatives to enhance our service delivery in the Bournemouth area. The role encompasses maintaining cleanliness in Front of House environments, which includes tasks such as vacuuming, utilizing a Scrubber Dryer for floor maintenance, mopping, sanitizing kitchen areas, restroom upkeep, and ensuring outdoor spaces are litter-free.

Your responsibilities will also include waste disposal and operating a Baler and Compactor in back-of-house areas. Attention to detail and a commitment to high cleaning standards are essential.

You will be tasked with disinfecting designated areas according to a structured cleaning schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform dusting, wiping, and sanitizing of all surfaces.

· Thoroughly clean kitchen and restroom facilities.

· Vacuum and mop floors, employing a Floor Scrubber Dryer as needed.

· Disinfect high-touch areas and maintain cleanliness in outdoor spaces.

· Conduct detailed cleaning of skirtings, sills, and fixtures.

· Adhere to company policies and operational procedures.

· Manage both Front of House and Back of House cleaning responsibilities.

· Report any deficiencies in work systems or equipment that may compromise service delivery or pose health and safety risks.

· Utilize all cleaning equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with training.

· Communicate any issues or training requirements to your Line Manager or through the incident reporting system.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· A strong work ethic with reliable attendance and the ability to follow routine schedules while proactively identifying tasks.

ESSENTIAL

· Previous cleaning experience.

· Consistent attendance record.

· Punctuality.

· Effective communication skills, including the use of radios.

· Availability for occasional cover shifts.
