Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic volunteer to support our Retail Department in the Warehouse at East Peckham, Kent.

This role offers a great opportunity to become a valued member of our busy team, providing vital assistance in the day-to-day working of the Warehouse. Our sales play a significant part in raising funds for the Hospice in the Weald.

This volunteer role would suit someone with good IT skills, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be happy to sort and organise stock in the Warehouse, ready for dispatch to our shops or online sales team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort and organise clothing donations ready for dispatch to our shops or online sales team.
  • Perform PAT testing on small electrical items.
  • Process books, CDs, and DVDs using the Ziffit system.
  • Sort bric a brac ready for our shops.
  • Sort toys, games, and puzzles ready for our shops.
  • Prepare stock for events.
  • Assist with unloading and reloading vans.
  • Sort and organise seasonal stock.

Working Hours

Hours to suit you; the Warehouse is open Monday to Friday 8am-4pm and Sunday 10am-4pm. Ideally, you will be able to work a half or full day per week.
