Our client, a well-respected designer and manufacturer of commercial and high-end residential wallcoverings are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join their team on a permanent basis.

**Main Aim of the Job**

As a member of the warehouse team, you will be part of the team that is responsible for picking and packing the stock and handling all the way up to the point of dispatch.

You will be working in the main warehouse environment, helping the team carry out any tasks within the warehouse that need to be done in order to make the warehouse environment a fully operational and affective part of the company.

You will be working in a team alternating the work that is carried out to ensure there is variety in the role.

**Principal Performance Objectives**:

- Picking stock as per the Pick notes.
- Packing stock to the highest standard required as per the Standard operating procedures.
- Replacing goods to the correct location.
- Maintain product integrity and care at all times.
- Dealing with returns.
- Cycle counts.
- Stock consolidation.
- Stock control as required.
- Actively engage in team briefings.
- Report any damages to the products and ensure the relevant action is taken in relation the dealing with the stock shortage by ensuring the system is accurate.
- Be prepared to assist the administration team as required.
- Actively promote health and safety.
- Using knowledge of process and procedure to develop best practices.
- Ensure equipment maintenance is carried out.
- Accurate picking of products when required.
- Be able to problem solve in relation to stock control issues.

**Essential Baseline Work Experience**

One years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.

**Personal Qualities/Competencies**

Must be a very good communicator.

Must be a team worker.

Must be diligent and pay attention to detail and accuracy.

**Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm**

**Salary: 25,243.32 per annum**

We are acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this role.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £25,243.32 per year
