Job Summary

Microsoft is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Program Manager to join the Azure Platform Operations Sovereign team. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for driving the operational model for the Sovereign cloud, working closely with stakeholders and Azure Global Leadership to deliver the cloud and interface with customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and support incident management workflows across cloud boundaries without compromising security or efficiency.
  • Provide knowledge management, operations training, and leadership to ensure the delivery of standard operations model across different sovereign clouds.
  • Develop solutions to provide clear and concise monitoring and system management, and seek opportunities to demonstrate continuous service improvement.
  • Lead on cloud excellence, driving alignment across all Sovereign Clouds to ensure continuing compliance and driving down operational costs.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to contribute, prioritize, and deliver on the roadmap for multiple feature areas.
  • Manage the governance of programs and processes to ensure that specific performance requirements and standards are met throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Understanding of the challenges of system and service management.
  • Multiple years of hands-on experience in providing operations support to complex IT environments.
  • Large distributed IT environments in an operational role.
  • Extensive experience of service support.
  • Expertise in problem solving and analyzing distributed systems and critical production service environments.
  • ITIL certification V3 or above.
  • Experience in DevOps lifecycle.
  • PMP / Agile PM certification, or experience working in an agile project team.
  • Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or any other Cloud Certification.
  • Experience in Kusto / data visualization.
