Role Summary

Antarctica Asset Management is in search of a seasoned and proactive Chief Operations Executive (COE) to join our leadership team. The COE will be instrumental in managing the company's ongoing operations and procedural frameworks. This role demands a proficient leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, robust business insight, and a strong ethical foundation. As a vital member of the senior management team, the COE will oversee various business functions globally, with the primary aim of ensuring operational efficiency and fostering sustainable growth.

Core Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Direct the daily operations of the organization and supervise the work of executives across Technology, Business Development, Research, Finance, Operations, and other divisions.
  • Strategic Development: Collaborate with the CEO in formulating and executing the company's strategic objectives and goals.
  • Process Optimization: Design and implement operational frameworks, establish policies that enhance company culture and vision, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Performance Enhancement: Inspire team members to achieve peak performance and commitment, regularly assess the effectiveness of business processes in alignment with organizational goals, and implement enhancements.
  • Resource Management: Supervise resource distribution and budgeting activities to ensure departments are equipped to meet their objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Promote effective communication and teamwork across all departments.
  • Innovation and Technology Integration: Collaborate closely with the Technology division to harness technological advancements that improve operational efficiency and stimulate innovation and growth. Ensure that technology strategies align with business objectives and stay informed about industry trends to maintain competitiveness.
  • Performance Metrics: Develop and implement performance indicators to assess and drive organizational effectiveness, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and facilitating data-informed decision-making.
  • Reporting Duties: Provide regular operational updates to the CEO and other executive team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years in a senior management capacity within the financial services sector, ideally in asset management or hedge fund solutions.
  • Program Management: Proven track record in leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives to achieve desired outcomes while effectively managing associated risks.
  • Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated capability in strategic leadership, executive communication, organizational agility, cross-departmental collaboration, and a results-oriented approach.
  • Consultative Skills: Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and the Technology team to align and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Organizational Proficiency: Exceptional organizational abilities, capable of thriving under pressure in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Technical Acumen (preferred but not mandatory): Familiarity with technology and its application in enhancing operational efficiency and driving innovation.
