About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Assistant to join our team at Berry Recruitment. As a Tax Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients with their tax needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Request tax return information from clients or relevant parties and ensure timely submission.
- Take ownership of generating tax returns for a diverse client base, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Advise clients on their UK tax positions, including updates on tax payments and deadlines.
- Assist with drafting corporation tax returns and advising clients on corporation tax planning matters.
- Draft P11Ds for clients and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Working with HMRC
- Liaise with HMRC as necessary to ensure compliance and resolve any tax-related issues.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with tax investigation matters and provide support to clients during tax audits.
- Contribute to advisory projects and other ad-hoc matters as required.

Requirements

- Have experience with tax software and systems, including CCH.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary, flexible depending on experience, within the range £30-£40k.
