Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the registered manager to ensure the facility operates in compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare and health of children, ensuring their protection from harm and exploitation.
- Provide engaging activities, support, and structure for children, maintaining high standards of individual care, including meal preparation and cleanliness.
- Participate in a shift-based schedule as per the rota.
- Engage in training and apply learned skills within the facility.
- Act as a key worker for assigned children, adhering to organizational policies.
- Attend and contribute to review and planning meetings as required.
- Implement and review activity plans to ensure effective management of children's stays.
- Identify service shortfalls and propose development strategies to enhance practice standards.
- Raise any concerns that may impact the welfare of children.
Qualifications and Benefits:
- Commitment to achieving Diploma level 3/4 in Health & Social Care (children and young people pathway).
- Full-time position with an average of 40 hours per week, including sleep-in duties.
- Additional earnings from sleep-in shifts (approximately £4,800 per year).
