Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join our dynamic team at Reed. As a key member of our residential property department, you will provide administrative support to our fee earners, ensuring the smooth operation of our conveyancing services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide secretarial support to fee earners in the conveyancing department, including preparing and drafting legal documents.
- Complete LBTT returns and produce conveyancing documentation, such as offers, missives, dispositions, and discharges.
- Audio and copy typing documents, as well as drafting legal documents, to a high standard.
- Liaise with clients over the phone and in person, taking details and arranging meetings as required.
- Utilize case management software to support the preparation of documents and letters.
- Meet and greet clients at the office, providing a warm and welcoming experience.
- Complete general office administrative tasks, ensuring the efficient operation of the department.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a legal secretary or in a supportive legal role.
- Good working knowledge of residential or commercial conveyancing.
- Proficiency in audio and copy typing.
- Experience drafting legal documents.
- Familiarity with case management software, such as Denovo.
- Warm and approachable demeanor, with excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent general administrative skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
