Job Overview

Bright Purple is seeking to hire two highly skilled Technical Leads to guide the creation of innovative products that are at the forefront of the New Space Economy. This position involves occasional travel to the nearest office and client meetings, while primarily allowing for remote work flexibility. Ideal locations include Scotland or the South West of England.

Role Responsibilities As a Technical Lead, you will play a crucial role in the next phase of the company's expansion. You will oversee the design, testing, and delivery of essential new products, collaborating with Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, and Software Engineers. A background in software development is essential, as strong Java skills are necessary to engage with the product and its codebase. Leadership of a small team may also be required.
Key Duties
  • Leading a cross-functional team of testers, developers, and UX professionals
  • Supervising the design and development of new products and software features
  • Contributing expertise in software development, testing, and design throughout the software development life-cycle
  • Ensuring accurate project estimation and tracking
  • Implementing best practices in testing and coding
  • Engaging with customers

Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience or current background in Java
  • Enthusiasm for debugging and testing
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects
  • Experience in leading technical teams to successfully deliver projects and products
  • Familiarity with Linux
  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices
