Funding Strategy Specialist for Green Energy Projects

We are seeking a Funding Strategy Specialist who will be instrumental in securing financial resources for Uniper's growth initiatives in the New Green Power and Gas Sector, particularly within the UK. Your Responsibilities

  • Research and Strategy Development: Identify potential funding sources that align with Uniper's strategic objectives and develop customized funding strategies.
  • Proposal Crafting: Create persuasive grant proposals that effectively communicate the mission, goals, and intended use of funds for Uniper's growth projects.
  • Financial Oversight: Prepare precise budgets for grant applications and monitor expenditures throughout the grant lifecycle.
  • Grant Management: Oversee the entire grant process, from application to final reporting, ensuring compliance with all regulations and deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project teams in Uniper's New Green Power and Gas Sector, as well as with Finance, Corporate Communication, and other relevant departments to ensure successful implementation of grant-funded initiatives.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress, gather data, and prepare reports to demonstrate outcomes and impacts to funding bodies.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Stay updated on relevant regulations and proactively address compliance issues or risks.
  • Networking: Build and maintain relationships with funders, stakeholders, and partner organizations to enhance funding and collaboration opportunities.

The projects you will support encompass areas such as hydrogen and its derivatives, green energy imports, decarbonization of traditional power generation, battery storage, and other emerging technologies aimed at reducing carbon emissions in the energy sector.

Your Profile

  • Degree in law, economics, or political science.
  • Extensive experience in Funding Management, with a solid understanding of relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Knowledge of energy markets and a strong commercial acumen are preferred.
  • Established network in the funding sector is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate teams under tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a precise working methodology.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to simplify complex topics.
  • Intercultural competence.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 applications.
