About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Assistant to join our team at the Violence and Society Centre. The successful candidate will contribute to a project focused on global sources of evidence to understand violence reduction in settings around the world where there has been major conflict or war.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a scoping review of the relevant literature spanning disciplines including international politics, public health, and clinical trauma research.
  • Review relevant literature including peer-reviewed journal articles, books, and grey literature, with the goal of identifying effective interventions and evidence gaps that can inform future research.
  • Work closely with the research team to synthesize and analyze large amounts of information quickly and communicate this effectively in writing.
Person Specification

The successful candidate will be studying for a relevant degree (psychology, criminology, sociology, law, health or other) and have knowledge of research on violence.

They will have demonstrable research experience in ethnicity, migration, trauma or a related area, and will have knowledge of scoping review methodologies and experience of conducting a scoping review.
