About the Role

Livewell Southwest is seeking a highly motivated and professional Groundsperson to join our multi-skilled team of tradesmen. As a Groundsperson, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the grounds and gardens of our managed properties to the required standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair landscaping features, including lawns, shrubs, hedges, and borders.
  • Operate a wide variety of equipment and machinery, including mowers, chainsaws, blowers, strimmers, and pesticide applicators.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks, including leaf cleaning, litter collection, and clearing of gutters and gullies.
  • Construct, maintain, and repair paving, patios, fencing, and other landscaping structures.
  • Assist other trades as needed and advise the Line Manager of any problems or hazards likely to be encountered.

Requirements

  • Level 2 Certificate in Work-based Horticulture (QCF) or the ability, knowledge, and experience to work to this level.
  • Basic computer skills relevant to the job role.
  • GCSE in maths and English at grade C (grade 4) or above (or equivalent).

Desirable Qualifications and Skills

  • Health & Safety qualification.
  • Trained First Aider at Work.
  • 5 GCSEs at grade C (grade 4) or above (or equivalent).
