Operations Lead

Escape Recruitment Services is working exclusively with Component Sense, a pioneering company, to lead the way in empowering sustainability in electronic manufacturing.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Leader to join their exceptional team and support them in realizing their exciting global growth plans.

This role will initially involve overseeing the Newbridge (Edinburgh) operation while supporting existing and new overseas operations for the company.

The Operations Leader will:

  • Manage all aspects and areas of the warehouse, inspection/quality, logistics, and 3PL operations
  • Lead a culture of Continuous Improvement to deliver the highest possible quality standards
  • Manage all activities of the warehouse team, including remote-working employees
  • Control documentation and records according to ISO requirements
  • Taking the lead for all H&S matters and facilities management throughout the site
  • Managing and coaching individual performance, including training and development

As the company grows, this person will play a key part in setting up facilities overseas, embedding processes, and managing teams to success in these new remote sites.

There will be occasional travel involved to the US and to other regions where expansion takes place.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will likely have:

  • Experience in the electronics industry or have an understanding of engineering/materials
  • Strong leadership experience, gained within manufacturing or manufacturing logistics
  • Experience of lean manufacturing and quality standards/systems (ISO)
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills to deal with the fast pace within our industry
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral, as you would be responsible for generating technical customer reports and interacting regularly with clients on a global customer base
  • Ideally, you have a strong interest in or passion for sustainability and zero-waste/green technology, which is a huge part of Component Sense's business
