Key Responsibilities

• Ensure patient comfort and relaxation during blood collection procedures, confirming their agreement to the collection of a blood sample.
• Collect blood samples in accordance with established protocols and procedures, adhering to strict quality control measures.
• Store blood samples in appropriate containers, ensuring accurate and legible labeling to confirm patient identity.
• Verify patient identification and confirm whenever possible, maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality.
• Record blood sample collection in patient records, adhering to The Network's procedure guidelines.
• Dispatch blood samples to laboratories in a timely manner, ensuring efficient processing and analysis.
• Report any anomalies or discrepancies to senior staff members, maintaining open communication channels.
• Notify the clinical team of any significant patient issues, prioritizing patient care and well-being.
