Become a vital member of our team as a Lead Practitioner Psychologist within the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This role is ideal for an experienced and dedicated HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist eager to embrace a leadership position.
Position: Band 8b Lead Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling)
Work Location: Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
Working Hours: 30 hours per week (minimum 3 days)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership in collaboration with the Consultant Lead Psychologist.
- Manage multidisciplinary team referrals and service capacity effectively.
- Guide and mentor a team of psychology professionals.
- Enhance and maintain established psychology meeting frameworks.
- Engage in direct clinical practice, delivering evidence-based psychological care.
- Participate in training, supervision, and the advancement of psychological methodologies.
Candidate Requirements:
- Doctoral level qualification in applied psychology.
- Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the relevant professional body.
- Extensive experience in managing complex mental health cases.
- Thorough understanding of mental health legislation.
- In-depth knowledge of psychological therapies and assessment techniques.
- Experience in supervising fellow psychologists.
