Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Academic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a primary school in London. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and pupils in the classroom, providing individualized support to students with special educational needs, and contributing to the overall learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons to students
  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs
  • Assist with setting up the classroom, preparing materials, and supervising children in groups and one-to-one
  • Work with slower learners to ensure they understand and engage with the curriculum
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Education or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other staff members
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for education and a commitment to student success
