The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Category Buyer, Senior Buyer, or Project Buyer within a manufacturing business, preferably in the automotive/motorsport industry. You will have a proven track record of negotiation skills, commercial terms understanding, and experience with New Product Introduction.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the company's growth by enabling profit through effective sourcing.
- Reducing supplier lead time while maintaining high standards.
- Developing a strategy for your category to ensure production and new model manufacturing can be fulfilled.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities within your specific category.
As a Senior Category Buyer, you will work closely with the purchasing team to deliver a world-class purchasing solution to the business. You will be responsible for sourcing new suppliers, supplier development, contracts, and negotiation with both new and existing suppliers.
