We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team at Annan Court Home. As an Activity Coordinator, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering engaging activities that promote the wellbeing and happiness of our residents.
About the Role
- Work closely with the Home Manager and Head of Dementia & Wellbeing to implement Advinia's Wellbeing and Engagement Programme - S.P.E.C.S.
- Design and organise a range of stimulating and meaningful activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
- Develop and manage new and ongoing engagement programmes that encourage residents to maintain their hobbies and interests.
- Collaborate with colleagues, residents, relatives, and friends to participate in the Home's engagement programme and promote a whole-home approach to activities.
- Arrange trips and outings to enable residents to engage in off-site activities and maintain their hobbies and interests.
- Support the creation of an engaging and stimulating environment throughout the Home that meets the needs of our residents.
- Work with the Home Manager to identify and pursue fundraising opportunities to supplement the activities budget.
- Maintain accurate records of activity budget spend and ensure effective use of resources.
- Encourage resident participation and feedback through the development of a Resident's Committee.
- Ensure risk assessments are completed for all activities and outings and reviewed as necessary.
- Maximise the use of available resources to support the delivery of meaningful and engaging activities.
