About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Graduate Highways Engineer to join our dynamic team at Tetra Tech. As a Graduate Highways Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of high-profile highway projects, working closely with our experienced engineers and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake design work for a wide range of highways, bridges, and infrastructure projects
  • Assist in design reviews and verification checks, ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Support the delivery of major highway projects, bridges, and utilities, working collaboratively with colleagues and clients
  • Assist in contract administration, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Provide technical assistance to the Civil/Structural Engineering team, contributing to the growth and development of the team
  • Liaise with clients, architects, contractors, and stakeholders, building strong relationships and ensuring effective communication
Requirements
  • Minimum 2.1 degree in Civil Engineering (MEng, BEng, BSc)
  • Previous technical or industry experience, with a strong understanding of Civil Engineering principles and practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Civil Engineering design software, including AutoCad
  • Commitment to achieving professional qualifications in engineering and chartered status
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
