Job Summary

The NHS Mid and South Essex Integrated Care Board is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator and Specialist to support the System Control Centre function. This role requires the ability to work across seven days a week from 8 am to 8 pm or as defined by local, regional, and national requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery Support: Assist with the delivery of project plans and workstreams, raising any issues with delivery to the line manager.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise less experienced team members and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Budget Monitoring: Responsible for the monitoring of one or more budgets and ensuring that financial resources are utilized effectively.
  • Business Continuity Planning: Support the team in the development and revisions of Business Continuity Plans/Impact Assessments across the ICB and with a broad range of organizations, building in learning from previous incidents through the analysis of impact on the local system.
  • Exercising and On-Call Support: With the Associate Director, ensure that exercising is scheduled to reflect local, regional, and national asks and requirements, and support with the On Call process including contingencies relating to Business Continuity Planning and Surge.
  • Policy and Guidance: Keep abreast of new national and regional policies and guidance on emergency planning and Business Continuity, interpreting this for the organization and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Annual Core Standards Process: With the Associate Director and team, ensure a transparent and robust process for the Annual Core Standards process for the ICB and those NHS commissioned service providers meeting ICB reporting timeframes and required governance.
  • System Plans and Action Cards: Develop specific system plans and action cards to support the system and Local Resilience Forum.
  • Risk Management: Ensure risk registers are updated for the team working with the Associate Director so that risks are clearly monitored and mitigated (where possible) for the respective Board/Committee.
  • Local Health Resilience Partnership Coordination: Lead the coordination of agenda, updating of actions with the respective leads, working with the Chairs to ensure the agenda is reflective and meets the requirements of the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Through close working with colleagues in the ICB/ICS, continuously improve the standards of EPRR, Business Continuity, and risk management.
