About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Finance Operations professional to join our team at RORA. As a Finance and Operations Lead, you will be responsible for delivering impactful finance solutions to our partner companies, working directly with founders and the C-suite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead finance teams in startups and scaleups, handling everything from consulting projects to long-term partnerships.
  • Transform our partners' finance operations, overseeing everything from bookkeeping to statutory accounts, tax, EMI options, banking, invoices, and payables.
  • Manage relationships with founders, internal departments, RORA's HQ, and your FinOps team in the UK and India, ensuring everyone is aligned.
  • Flex across different partners, projects, and priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Build and develop your FinOps team, mentoring them to ensure they continuously grow and improve.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in Finance, with experience in a senior finance role within a tech startup.
  • Educational credentials such as ACA or CIMA are preferred; we also consider those partway through their qualifications.
  • A strong understanding of what effective finance operations look like in smaller startups or scaleups.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and competing priorities.
  • Experience beyond finance—you've partnered with operations, sales, marketing, or other functions.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based financial software like Xero (strongly preferred), QuickBooks, Sage, and tools like Dext and Pleo.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
