Key ResponsibilitiesYour general responsibilities will include:
- Assisting patients during clinic consultations and treatments.
- Preparing clinic rooms and performing housekeeping tasks.
- Coordinating the arrival of patients to the department.

- Managing messages, contacting patients, and scheduling appointments using current IT systems.

MAIN DUTIES
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of all clinical areas, including waiting rooms and supply storage.
- Facilitate communication between departments, including answering phones and relaying messages.
- Prepare and set up clinics, restocking supplies as needed.
- Assist patients as required during their visits.
- Execute tasks assigned by qualified personnel.
- Collaborate closely with the clinic team to ensure efficient operations.
- Welcome patients into waiting areas, confirming their check-in and providing information as needed.
- Support the care of patients and their families, directing them to other departments when necessary.
- Maintain records related to patient visits as requested by medical or nursing staff.
- Assist in the observation and collection of specimens.
- Report any changes in patient conditions to qualified staff promptly.
- Coordinate with wards and departments as required.
- Support the effective use of clinical supplies and ensure proper equipment sanitation.
- After appropriate training, measure blood pressure and document patient conditions.
- Ensure patients needing ambulance transport are directed to the correct waiting areas.
- Confirm that patients and caregivers understand medical instructions.
- Assist with booking arrangements for patients requiring admissions.
- Support the monitoring of vital signs.
- Stay updated on resuscitation procedures through annual training.
- Ensure training on manual handling and safety procedures is completed before practice.
- Under the guidance of the Nurse in Charge, perform clerical duties as needed.
- You may be required to work across various specialties, covering clinics as necessary.
The responsibilities of the Decontamination Technician may vary by clinic, but qualified nursing staff will ensure that appropriate training is provided in line with the role's requirements.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Criteria- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.

- Previous experience in an outpatient department or clinic setting.
