Job Title: Aerospace Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace Safety Manager to join our team. As a key member of our health and safety team, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing all health and safety responsibilities for our Leicester Consumer Packaging site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Lead site health and safety committee meetings, working collaboratively with employees to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Work with the Regional Health and Safety Leader to develop and implement site-based policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance on reducing risks.
  • Support site staff with operational learning events and provide guidance on safe operational procedures.
  • Manage the Safety Excellence System (SES) and Environmental e2 Excellence System.
  • Stay up-to-date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of health and safety legislation and developments.
  • Advise teams on specialist areas such as fire regulations, hazardous substances, and occupational diseases.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and the ability to interpret and apply it.
  • Proven experience as a trainer and NEBOSH certification.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
