SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Support

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a successful independent school in Romford. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with Autism, providing individualized support and guidance to help them reach their full potential.

About the Role

This is a full-time, long-term contract with the opportunity for permanent employment. You will be working 1-1 with students, engaging them in learning activities and managing any challenging behaviors that may arise. A sound understanding of Autism is essential for this role, as you will be required to de-escalate situations and provide a calm and supportive environment for the students.

About the School

Our school provides a highly differentiated curriculum, intervention, and support for students with Special Needs. The classes are small, with a 1-4 ratio of children to adults, and each class has a Teacher and multiple Teaching Assistants. The staff are passionate and collaborative, working together to offer the best teaching methods for their students.
