About the Role

Berkmann Wine Cellars, the UK's largest family-owned and family-run wine importer, is seeking a seasoned professional to lead the independent specialist division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving profitable and sustainable growth across this dynamic sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and driven individual with a sophisticated understanding of the specialist wine market. Ideally, you will hold a WSET Diploma qualification and possess excellent customer relationship skills. As a people manager, you will be expected to develop and implement a sales strategy, aligning your team's KPIs to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver profitable growth across the independent specialist division
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy, aligning team KPIs with business objectives
  • Build strong local relationships with customers and internal teams
  • Manage and develop a team of sales professionals

Working Pattern

This role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with core hours from 09:00 to 17:30 (plus an unpaid break of 1 hour). You will be expected to work the hours necessary to meet the needs of the role.
