About the Role

Hays Accountancy and Finance is seeking an experienced Audit Executive to join our team. As a leader in the industry, we strive to deliver exceptional results to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee Audit Jobs: You will be responsible for overseeing a significant number of audit jobs, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Lead Audit Teams: You will play a pivotal role in leading audit teams, allocating sections to junior staff, and providing guidance and supervision.
  • Monitor Job Progress: You will be responsible for monitoring job progress, budgets, and providing guidance to more junior team members.
  • Sign Off on Audit Sections: You will be responsible for signing off on audit sections, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Complete Documentation: You will be responsible for completing necessary documentation, drafting letters to clients regarding audit/accounts.
Requirements
  • ACA or ACCA Qualified: You must be fully qualified with practice experience.
  • 3+ Years of Auditing Experience: You must have 3+ years of auditing experience, with a strong focus on compliance and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Audit Planning: You must be proficient in audit planning and completion, with a strong understanding of accounting standards.
  • Strong Computer Skills: You must have strong computer skills, including familiarity with Sage, Excel, Word, and ideally CaseWare (accounts and audit) and tax software.
  • Previous Supervisory Experience: You must have previous experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact effectively in diverse environments.
  • Exceptional Organisational Abilities: You must have exceptional organisational abilities to handle a variety of tasks.
  • Client-Focused Mindset: You must have a client-focused mindset and commercial awareness.
  • Strong Team-Building Skills: You must have strong team-building and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: You must be able to work well under pressure, with a strong focus on delivering results.
