Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Regional Buyer to lead our Facilities Management (FM) procurement strategy in the UK&I region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies that drive efficiency and commercial competitiveness in the FM supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of Region Buyers to drive end-to-end procurement processes and optimize the supply chain across FM categories.
- Work closely with the Head of FM Procurement and Senior Category Manager to implement sourcing strategies for FM Services, supporting the operational business and achieving financial targets.
- Align the objectives of Regional Procurement with Global Supply Management, Category Management, and FM Platform strategies.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with supply partners and key stakeholders across Supply Management, Tech & Services Platforms, and Operating Segments.
- Right-size the supply chain across FM categories to ensure it is optimized for the UK&I region and drive compliance to Supply Management negotiated deals.
- Lead the management and execution of work orders for project-related activity in collaboration with segment and platform stakeholders.
- Oversee the reporting of financial benefits of in-scope procurement activity delivered to Supply Management Finance team.
- Experience in leading teams in a buying/category management environment (5/7 years+).
- Ability to work efficiently in a multi-cultural and matrix environment.
- Experience in developing and implementing procurement/category strategies.
- Proven track record in complex contract negotiations.
- Strong presentation skills both verbally and written.
- Graduate calibre with CIPS/ISM or equivalent qualification.
- Flexible for national and international travel where necessary.
- Experience of Pharma, Health, or Public Sector FM Operations.
- Experience in FM sub-categories Lifts, Fire and Security, Water treatment, electrical wholesalers.
- Experience of managing sub-contractors across Hard and Soft FM Services.
- Knowledge of Construction and Civils 'project' works procurement methodologies.
