About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Industry Professional to join our Water Consultancy team in Scotland. As a Principal Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering water and wastewater services to our clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of water and wastewater schemes, including optioneering, solution development, and design.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Manage and deliver complex projects, ensuring compliance with client and industry design standards and specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to less experienced colleagues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in a relevant subject, such as Civil and Structural Engineering, Water and Wastewater Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the water industry, with a strong understanding of water and wastewater services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
  • Working knowledge of industry software and tools, including CAD and GIS.
  • Ability to work flexibly, with occasional travel to client sites and RPS offices.
