Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineering Manager to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role offers a pathway to join our Senior Leadership Team and involves managing the Mechanical Design Engineering team and expanding our company's Civil engineering capabilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and oversee the Civil and Mechanical engineering department.
  • Expand the Civil design capability while enhancing the skills of the experienced Mechanical Design team.
  • Oversee Civil and Mechanical Engineering Design components of projects, liaising with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with various other departments throughout the business.
  • Arrange and support site investigations.
  • Provide technical support to the wider business.
  • Support the promotion of our company's core values.
Requirements
  • Strong Civil design engineering experience on small to medium-sized projects.
  • Experience working in UK Water and/or Waste Water industries or similar engineering schemes.
  • Experience managing, developing, and coaching multi-disciplined design teams.
  • Proficiency in CAD-based design systems, structural analysis, CDE systems, and planning tools.
  • Experience in design project management and financial reporting.
  • Ability to work from project specifications, statements of need, self-developed scopes, and relevant legislation.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent in Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Professional body memberships.
