Position Title: Senior Regulatory Project Manager

Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary ranging from £50,900 to £63,000 per annum based on experience, along with a company vehicle lease or allowance scheme, an annual performance-related bonus (up to 10% of annual salary), private healthcare, a robust pension scheme (up to 10% employer contribution), life insurance equivalent to four times the pensionable salary, and 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, including a wellness day. Employment Type: Permanent position, requiring 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within the hours of 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Regulatory Project Manager to join our Strategy & Regulation team at Yorkshire Water.

Our Mission: Yorkshire Water is dedicated to ensuring that over 5.4 million residents and countless visitors have access to clean and safe drinking water while effectively managing wastewater. Your Role: As the Senior Regulatory Project Manager, you will oversee the necessary activities to implement legislation and regulations within Yorkshire Water, safeguarding the organization from legislative risks. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the delivery of regulatory and legislative projects, including Price Review and Water Act initiatives.
  • Creating and executing project work plans, adapting as necessary to meet evolving requirements.
  • Leading multiple projects to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery.
  • Producing comprehensive reports that highlight key project elements, including ROI, risks, and implementation strategies.
  • Encouraging innovation and new project opportunities based on insights gained from collaboration with partners and suppliers.
  • Effectively managing project risks through proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Representing Yorkshire Water in external engagements with regulatory bodies and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in managing programs and projects with a track record of achieving sustainable performance against challenging targets.
  • Expertise in business planning, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Strong ability to cultivate and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders to uphold the company's reputation.
  • Experience in leading change initiatives and fostering a culture of positive behaviors.
  • Understanding of the regulatory landscape, including the Water Act and Competition Act.
  • Strong analytical skills for compiling, assessing, and communicating data effectively.

Additional Information: This role will require travel across Yorkshire, necessitating a valid UK driving license with no more than six penalty points.
