We are seeking a Real Estate Asset Surveyor to join our Asset Management team. This role involves reporting to and supporting Estates Managers. While our head office is located at Quorn House, we provide various office locations across the UK and offer a flexible hybrid working model. Key Responsibilities
As a Real Estate Asset Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day estate operations for both freehold and leasehold industrial and commercial properties.
- Negotiating lease renewals and rent adjustments with landlords and their representatives to maximize returns.
- Identifying and optimizing rental income opportunities from Tarmac's land assets.
- Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and approval of property-related expenses, including rents and maintenance.
- Directing and coordinating external consultants and agents.
The Ideal Candidate
To excel in the role of Real Estate Asset Surveyor, you should possess proven expertise and experience in:
- Understanding industrial and commercial property ownership and occupancy in the UK, including relevant landlord and tenant laws.
- Engaging with the industrial and commercial property market in the UK.
- Negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals, and general estate management issues.
- Experience in mineral and energy-related properties is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Achieving or working towards MRICS accreditation.
