Leakage Detection Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Leakage Detection Technician to join our team at South East Water. As a key member of our water supply network team, you will play a critical role in reducing water leakage across our network.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and locate hidden leaks in our water supply network.
- Assist customers in resolving supply pipe leaks and other plumbing issues.
- Maintain knowledge of leakage network distribution water operations, pressure reducing valves, valve operations, flushing, and mains tracing.
- Liaise with SEW distribution staff and their contractors on leak repairs.
- Liaise with SEW customer contact centre staff, Production Staff, and other SEW staff on leakage team activities.
- Liaise with and assist SEW customers as required.
- Update the asset data base where errors found in the field.
- Maintain knowledge and experience of leakage detection activities and competent in the use of leakage detection equipment.
- Meet administrative requirements of the role (e.g. inputting work onto Nomad, GIS, and other corporate systems).
- Experience of leakage detection techniques, including correlators, ground microphones, pipe tracing, and enigma loggers.
- Knowledge of leakage network distribution water operations, pressure reducing valves, valve operations, flushing, and mains tracing.
- Preferably know how to carry out Step Tests if needed.
- Street works qualification holder.
- Trained in national water hygiene (blue card).
- Good communication and customer service skills.
