An exciting opportunity awaits with a prominent Facilities Management Provider. CBW Staffing Solutions is currently on the lookout for a Fabric Maintenance Technician to support a prestigious commercial office environment. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of various maintenance tasks and a solid background in commercial property upkeep. As part of a dedicated on-site team, the successful applicant will need to hold a level 2 qualification in either electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or air conditioning and will be responsible for executing planned and reactive maintenance across the facility.

Working Hours/Compensation
  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Continental shift schedule (4 days on, 6 off, 4 nights, 4 off, 3 days + 3 nights, 4 off)
  • Overtime opportunities available
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as painting touch-ups, adjusting hinges, installing or repairing blinds, changing locks, and conducting minor repairs on furniture and equipment
  • Engage in plumbing tasks, including clearing blockages, addressing leaks, replacing parts, and servicing systems
  • Assist with minor office relocations and furniture arrangements
  • Collaborate with the management team
  • Investigate issues and implement appropriate solutions
  • Provide updates to the helpdesk regarding maintenance job progress
  • Carry out specialized technical and non-technical tasks as required for ongoing maintenance
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours support
  • Work overtime for emergency repairs and supervise other staff as needed
  • Offer technical assistance and support when necessary
  • Ensure safety measures are adhered to for all personnel and contractors in hazardous areas
  • Follow safe work practices and permit procedures
  • Utilize tools and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery for client assets through reactive and planned maintenance
  • Complete tasks to a high standard and within agreed timelines
  • Support Multi-Skilled Engineers as required
Qualifications
  • Level 2 qualification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or air conditioning (Essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial property maintenance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and internet usage
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
