About the Role
Currie & Brown, a leading international physical asset management and construction consultancy, is seeking a skilled Building Surveyor to join our Milton Keynes office. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality building surveying services to our clients across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver projects and commissions from inception to completion, ensuring timely and accurate results.
- Maintain effective communication with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Assist in managing client and project teams to deliver building surveying services profitably and on time.
- Conduct site visits, surveys, and meetings with clients, contractors, and sub-contractors to ensure project success.
- Produce high-quality work outputs in a timely manner, meeting client expectations.
- Represent Currie & Brown in a professional and diligent manner, building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
- BSc in Building Surveying or equivalent.
- Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) is beneficial.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills, both internal and external.
- Proficient skills in AutoCAD and NBS are beneficial.
- Experience in the higher education, local government, and healthcare sectors is beneficial.
- Significant exposure to and good working relations with private and public sector clients are beneficial.
- Well-developed skills in surveys, project management, clerk of works, repairs, and maintenance are beneficial.
- Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined, and commercially astute.
- A team player with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible when interacting with colleagues and clients.
- Good IT skills, including AutoCAD, NBS, MS Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, and other bespoke software.
