About the Role

Gemini Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and highly driven Family Solicitor to join our client's team. As a Newly Qualified Family Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to work with a leading law firm that serves corporate entities and private individuals in over 25 practice areas.

The Family & Children Department at our client's firm is ranked and recognized by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners for family and matrimonial work. The team includes practitioners who have achieved the Law Society's Children Law and Family Law Advanced accreditations, providing advocacy in all court proceedings.

As a Family Solicitor, you will be responsible for all aspects of Family & Children Law work, including providing technical expertise and guidance to other team members. You will also have the opportunity to manage and supervise Trainee Solicitors and Caseworkers, as well as assist with delivery of appropriate training and development in the department.

The ideal candidate will have a professional pro-active approach, strong client care skills, and be interested in Business Development and Marketing. You will also have excellent networking and communication skills, with the ability to successfully market the Company and generate new business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report directly to department director
  • Responsible for all aspects of Family & Children Law work
  • Manage and supervise Trainee Solicitors and Caseworkers
  • Assist with delivery of appropriate training and development in the department
  • Deal with a range of Family & Children work, including divorce, financial disputes, and remedies

Requirements

  • Committed and highly driven
  • Must have a clean, valid Practicing Certificate at the time of applying
  • Registered with the Law Society and Family Panel or otherwise willing to work towards becoming a Panel member
  • Strong management skills
  • Committed team player with ability to approach team concerns fairly
  • Professional with a pro-active approach, excellent client care skills, and ability to deal with vulnerable client matters
