About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Instrument Technician to join our progressive and positive values-driven Maintenance Group at our Billingham Manufacturing site in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with company and statutory, environmental, health and safety standards.
  • Perform the assembly, installation, removal and replacement, disassembly, test functionality and operability, maintenance and repair of instrumentation systems and their associated system components.
  • Pre commissioning, trip testing and fault finding on instrumentation systems and the associated system components.
  • Raising, releasing, and completing Work Orders and updating databases as required.
  • Assist in the upkeep of plant drawings and documentation by reporting errors to supervision.

Requirements

  • A good understanding of engineering theory, the functions of components within systems and the effect on system operation of failure.
  • Detailed understanding of instrument control systems, including but not confined to pressure, temperature, level, flow, analysis equipment, machine instrumentation system i.e., Bentley Nevada and DCS systems with an ability to diagnose equipment fault and related system problems.
  • A sound understanding of process plant and computerised maintenance management systems.
