About the Role

The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse processes, including the execution of inventory management policies and procedures to improve stock accuracy and control.
  • Oversee the daily manifests to schedule work for receipt into and out of the warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Develop and implement supply chain metrics, including gross and agreed inventory accuracy metrics, to drive business improvement.
  • Manage external storage and premium freight costs, ensuring optimal use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Lead problem resolution, root cause analysis, and action plans to minimize disruption to customers and ensure on-time delivery (OTD) metrics.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a shipping department within a manufacturing, export, import, or logistics environment.
  • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and common tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desirable Skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations, prioritize tasks effectively, and multitask.
