Position Overview

At Campden BRI, we provide specialized analytical laboratory services for the food and beverage industry, encompassing a wide range of testing including nutritional analysis, microbiological assessments, biochemical evaluations, and more. Join our dynamic team in a high-throughput laboratory environment where you will gain hands-on experience with various analytical techniques and instrumentation such as HPLC, ICP, GC-MS, and LC-MS. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct analytical testing of food and beverage samples, primarily utilizing chromatography techniques and related processes.
  • Manage the intake of samples, prepare them for analysis, and communicate results to clients effectively.
  • Perform routine analyses of food products and related materials using advanced instrumental methods.
  • Maintain precise laboratory records, calculate results, compile data for scientific reports, and generate reports for both custom and standard analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards as per Campden BRI protocols, including maintaining quality control records for accredited methods.
  • Address client inquiries regarding testing services within the laboratory.
  • Provide training and oversight to junior laboratory personnel as needed.
  • Carry out basic maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, including GC-MS, LC-MS, and HPLC systems.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A degree in Chemistry or a related field is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility, supported by relevant extracurricular or work experiences.
  • A keen interest in analytical chemistry related to food and beverages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
  • Prior experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous.
  • Capability to perform routine analyses with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and complex projects.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary.
