Service Technician for Agricultural Equipment

Service Technician for Agricultural Equipment is sought after by our client, a reputable family-owned enterprise with a rich history in the agricultural sector. Due to the expansion of their operations, they are in need of a skilled technician to join their team.
The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in the agricultural, commercial vehicle, or construction sectors and should be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform servicing and maintenance on machinery from leading brands to meet manufacturer specifications, ensuring optimal machine performance and safety.
- Exhibit attention to detail by identifying machine issues and promoting additional services offered by the company.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, hydraulic, powertrain, and other mechanical faults before executing repairs.
- Utilize diagnostic software on a laptop as necessary (training will be provided).
- Document all completed work with detailed reports and supporting images, including time tracking.
- Undertake any other tasks as required to fulfill the role.
Position Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficient knowledge and experience with various types of machinery, preferably in the agricultural, commercial vehicle, or construction fields. A relevant qualification in Land Based Engineering is advantageous.
- Possession of a full driving license and the capability to operate machinery on-site for testing purposes.
- Willingness to work weekends during peak operational periods.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: Competitive, ranging from £25,000 to £45,000 per annum OTE based on experience, compensated hourly.
- Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm, and Friday, 8am to 4pm, including a 1-hour unpaid lunch break (39-hour basic work week).
- Holiday Entitlement: 24 days plus 8 bank holidays.
- Pension Scheme: 3% employee contribution and 7% employer contribution.
- Life Assurance: Includes a dependent's pension.
- Overtime: Available at enhanced rates (time and a half for Mon-Sat, double time for Sundays and bank holidays).
- Company Vehicle: Provided for work-related duties.
