Manufacturing Diagnostic Specialist

The role involves direct interaction with customers and close collaboration with other members of the development team, including suppliers and representatives from engineering departments.
- Develop and execute End of Line (EOL) tests and sequences at the EOL system of the vehicle manufacturer.
- Deploy and test EOL diagnostic hardware and software on-site.
- Report and document test results.
- Verify and test EOL test sequences in the office and on-site.
- Prepare and participate in plant vehicle launches of EOL test systems.
- Resolve on-site issues with minimal assistance from other resources.
- Provide customer documentation and training.
- Prepare user requirement documentation.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with customer systems, create and manage change requests for upcoming software deployments.
- Manage tasks using JIRA.
- Install EOL Runtime on QA and production servers, support customers migrating to newer operating systems and SQL database servers.
- Set up and configure plant-specific networks for validation testing.
- Set up, test, and validate server plant management web-based tools.
- Run SQL scripts against SQL databases.
- Create and update validation test documentation.
- Participate in QA and production release reviews.
Essential:
- Working knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7 32/64bit, Windows 10 32/64bit.
- Working knowledge of VMWARE and Virtual Box applications.
- Understanding of Windows background services.
- Basic knowledge of Windows networking.
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, including automotive diagnostic protocols.
- Knowledge of Wireshark and CAN logs.
- Knowledge of electrical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to fault find and debug issues.
- Ability to manage and plan own workload.
Desirable:
- In-depth understanding of OEM requirements and diagnostics of ECU configurations.
- Knowledge of ODX and OTX.
- Microsoft SQL Server knowledge.
- XML file knowledge.
- Working knowledge of JIRA.
- Knowledge of using the Bosch vehicle model VSI simulator tool.
- Use of VCATS applications and open source WireShark applications.
