Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Mainstream Primary School with a Special Resource Provision (SRP). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience supporting children with a range of special needs, including Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties.

About the Role:
  • Support children with Social, Communication and Interaction delay/difficulties, Autism, Speech and Language delay, Sensory processing difficulties, Physical self-help difficulties, Cognition and learning delay, and Global Delay.
  • Work in a play-based provision with children dipping into subject-specific curriculum as and when they are suitable based on their developmental ability.
  • Collaborate with a teacher and two other TAs in each class to provide a holistic and fun learning environment.
  • Support EYFS, KS1, and KS2 children aged 5-9.
Requirements:
  • Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with special needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
