About the Role

Refuge, the largest domestic abuse organisation in England, is seeking a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead the organisation through its next strategic phase. As a seasoned executive, you will be responsible for shaping the organisation's strategy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, and galvanising a team of dedicated professionals to achieve a world free from domestic abuse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the organisation's strategic development, ensuring a laser-focused approach to achieving the vision of a world free from domestic abuse.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Trustees and senior leadership team to drive organisational success.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance the organisation's services, including refuges, community support, and specialist guidance.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with external stakeholders, including survivors, staff, trustees, and supporters.
  • Ensure the organisation's services are safe, effective, and survivor-led, drawing on your deep experience and expertise.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar executive role, including leading a complex organisation with a substantial change agenda and front-line operations.
  • Strong commitment to feminism, empowerment, support, and equality.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team of professionals to achieve a shared vision.
  • Excellent leadership and strategic development skills.
